Not much to report...

Because I've had another day of lollygagging in tel aviv. But I did manage to make a reservation for tomorrow for a guided tour of Jerusalem because, despite several trips, I've still not managed to see everything I want to see. C tells me he'll get me to the bus at 730 am. I realize it is not solely an act of kindness, but self preservation. He'll have the entire day to return to his beloved gym and not have to guide me around or feed my picky piehole. Or listen to my tired schtick. (Although I must point out that he has appropriated a goodly number of what he refers to as my "schticks."  He's freely using the number 30 when I ask him a question requiring a numerical answer. He also tells neighborhood dogs, "you are gonna get it!" And of course, he pats me on the leg and tells me to get up and get him another diet "co-cola."). Israel will never be the same.

Today we didn't get to do much because it's Friday which means, at sundown, the sabbath begins. Which means, once again, restaurants and cafes shut down so people can be miserable with their families, and all the darling single people are left to starve in the cold, dark of their empty apartments. We managed to find a restaurant open in the center of town and I choked down a giant plate of pasta and a big Goldstar beer (delightful!) while Miss C dined on yet another salad (oy vay). (He is reading this over my shoulder and complaining that my account is inaccurate...that lots of restaurants are open, etc. I told him to write his own blog.)

Oh, also went to the mall today and I got to visit 2 bookstores, all very crowded as the holiday crowds continue to linger. Found a couple of must haves in English. But it was hard to shop because everyone kept touching me.

Hopefully a more colorful, substantive response tomorrow.
