Heading home, dammit

Sitting in Ben Gurion airport (the nice international terminal; the domestic terminal is like Hobby Airport circa 1974), waiting for another marathon flight (only 12 hours to Newark). Then I fly to Chicago, and finally to San Francisco, landing somewhere around 1130 p.m.

Sad to be leaving beautiful, hip Tel Aviv and the hospitality of my little Israeli friend. But my fabulous legal career and the fog of San Francisco call.

Last day in Tel Aviv was spent hitting more cafes, drinking innumerable cups of coffee, watching the locals, and promenading the boulevards. In case you didnt know (I keep forgetting) Friday is saturday for Israelis. Saturday is Sunday. And Sunday is Monday, that is the beginning of the work week. So the streets last night were full of locals blowing it out. I kept trying to buy cheesecake, but Chen kept distracting me.

At the airport this morning, security was less oppressive (flying continental, not El Al) but attentive nonetheless. I just hope they checked those other bastards as thoroughly as they checked me.

Over and out for now. Will post photos when I get home....
